Larry Doster

Minister of Music

Johnny Wyche

My whole life I have been around choirs and music. I sang in the choirs as I grew up in church and loved listening to Christian music.  I believe God gave me this love and ability that I have. I love to sing and I love to direct choirs.

It is an honor to serve Central Baptist church as Minister of Music. I enjoy being around the people here and getting to know them. I thank them for all their support and help.

I believe music is an aid to worship and the Adult choir helps with this as they lead out in worship every Sunday. If you would like to be a part of the choir, we meet each Sunday evening at 4:43p.m. Come and join us as we rehearse songs for Sunday as well as programs for Christmas and Easter.

I have been the Administrative Assistant here at Central Baptist since 2001. This church is truly a blessing to me and I can only pray that I can return the blessings. I can truly say that I enjoy coming to work everyday. The members here are so nice and I enjoy helping each one of you. If you ever need anything, please feel free to come by and see me or call me and I will be more than happy to help you with whatever you need.

Lynda Underwood

Youth Minister

Joshua Isley

Raised in a Christian home, I have been extremely blessed with two of the most selfless, God fearing parents for which anyone could ask. I grew up in Springville, AL and graduated from Springville High School in 2014. I am a current student at Auburn University, majoring in Communication Studies. Student ministry has always been a monumental part of my life. It has taught me the essentials of my faith, equipped me with the truth of God’s Word, and commissioned me to pour my soul out for the advancement of the Gospel.  During my 11th grade year, I accepted the Lord’s call to ministry, and since then I have been blessed by the numerous opportunities God has given. I have interned on a church staff in both recreation and student ministry. I have also been blessed to minister to students internationally in the countries of Germany and Switzerland.

I became the Youth Minister of Central in August of 2016. I love working alongside Pastor Larry and this congregation to see the name of Jesus professed and proclaimed in the Auburn-Opelika area.

My vision for our 7th-12th grade students can be summarized in one sentence: Experience Jesus by committing to the devotion and the motion that his name exhorts. Our devotion is expressed through the continuous practice of prayer and worship. Our motion is expressed through living out the great commission by going to the nations with the name of Jesus, both in our communities and in the world. The Students of Central meet on Sundays at 9:45 a.m. and Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m.
