Central Baptist Church

Hello and welcome to Central Baptist Church! I am Jacob Burdette and my journey to becoming the Interim Pastor can be described as nothing but the will of God. I have been attending Central Baptist Church for 16 years now. In 2018, I accepted the call to preach and began preaching at several churches and events in Alabama and Georgia. In 2020, God called me to be the Youth Pastor at Central Baptist Church to help lead and guide the youth. My time as the Youth Pastor has definitely been an eventful journey but it’s been a journey that I’m extremely thankful for and wouldn’t trade for anything. God placed a burden on my heart over Central starting way back in May of this year. Since then, God has given me several signs and confirmations that this is something that I’m both supposed to do and something that I’m called to do. Words cannot begin to express how excited I am to be able to serve Central during this time as we search for a pastor!!

All my life I have been around choirs and music. I sang in the choir as I grew up in church and loved listening to Christian music.  I believe God gave me the love for music and the abilities that I have. I love to sing, and I love directing.

It is an honor to serve Central Baptist Church as the Minister of Music. I enjoy being around the people here and getting to know them. I thank them all for their support and hard work.
